Meet Leonardo. 18 months and Loving Ookkie!
We spoke to mum, Freya, to learn a bit more about Leonardo's journey with the Ookkie. Here's what they had to say.
What was your reason for getting an Ookkie?
Leo loves anything with wheels
Describe the learning experience on the Ookkie for us.
At first Leo wasn't keen on getting on it, he just wanted to push it around! It took about a month for him to be comfortable riding it more than a short distance, but from there it was a steep learning curve! It only took him a few days to be confident going over bumps at the skate park.
Do you get any comments when you're out and about riding the board?
Heaps! People are constantly saying "wow that's so cool!" and asking us where we got it. A few of our friends have since bought Ookkies for their kids.
How has the Ookkie helped your little one in their development?
Since he got confident on his Ookkie, Leo has become a whiz on his scooter too. He has amazing balance, and all the kids at the skate park say he's going to be an Olympic skater by the time he's 5!
How has the Ookkie become a part of your family life and routine?
It's way more fun than the pram, and way easier to push. We don't even use the pram any more, we take the Ookkie everywhere!
